The water took it in one night.

We are Littlebox employees from Assam, from the same districts that are underwater right now. We went home, stood in the mud where our neighbours' houses used to be, and decided we couldn't just watch. Now we're asking you to stand with us.

WHY THIS IS PERSONAL

We didn't read about this flood. We grew up in these villages.

Many of us at Littlebox are from Sivasagar, Jorhat, Nazira and the districts around them. When the water rose this July, it rose over the homes we grew up in, our parents' neighbours, our school friends' families. Help from outside was thin. So between 25 and 30 July, we did what we could ourselves.

Rituparna Sharma from our team started it, one message, one list, one plan. Employees and our vendor partners put in ₹1,43,613 of our own money in six days and took food, drinking water and hygiene supplies to families cut off from help.

WHAT WE SAW ON THE GROUND

The water goes back. The loss stays.

When we reached the villages, the hardest thing wasn't the water. It was watching people stand in front of what used to be their home. A house here isn't bought, it's built, over years, brick by brick, season by season, from a lifetime of work. The flood erased that in a single night and left families with nothing to return to.

To make sure every rupee is handled with rigour, we've partnered with the DNR Foundation, an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, a national civil society founded in 2011 and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. DNRF is a network of seasoned development professionals, IIT and IIM graduates, TISS alumni, senior corporate professionals, government officials and educators, who bring professional project management to grassroots relief work.

Before you give

Who is organising this?
An employee and vendor-led relief drive by Littlebox India, initiated by Rituparna Sharma from our team and coordinated on the ground in Sivasagar, Jorhat and Nazira by employee volunteers, many of whom are from these very districts, in association with the DNR Foundation, an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization.
Where exactly does my money go?
80% goes to repairing the most heavily damaged houses so families can move back in; 20% goes to food, drinking water and relief supplies. We will publish updates with photos, village names and spending details.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Donations made to DNR Foundation are eligible for a 50% tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. You will receive an 80G donation receipt, which can be used to claim the tax benefit while filing your income tax return.
Is there a deadline?
Yes, the campaign runs until 30 August 2026. Repair work begins in the worst-hit villages as funds come in.
Can I volunteer instead of donating?
Yes. Email alok@littleboxindia.com and we'll connect you with the Guwahati volunteer coordination team, 90 employees are already signed up.
